Walleye Fishing Excellent at Devils Lake

Woodland Resort/ Mitchell's Guide Service Fishing Report Walleye fishing remains good. Anglers are finding many fish up shallow on sandy shorelines around weeds. Anglers are casting crankbaits like Salmo Hornets, Shad Raps, Countdowns and Power Bait and catching lots of fish with this pattern when there is wind. When the lake goes flat, anglers have been Lindy Rigging or Slip Bobber Fishing along weed edges and flooded timber in 5 to 12 feet of water. Good areas have been Pelican Lake, Knutsons Bay, north shore of Minnewauken Flats, Penny Bay, Dead Cow Bay, Browns Slough and Haybale Bay. Pike have been showing up where ever there are walleye and or weeds and will bite on just about anything. White bass have been biting on the north shore of Creel Bay and Penny Bay. Good Luck.
